A healthy lifestyle is important if we want to stay fit and healthy, so here are 5 tips for having a healthy lifestyle.

  1. EXERCISE

The trick to making your lifestyle healthier is to make small healthy changes every day, for example using the stairs more, parking the furthest possible from a building and walking to it, walking to someone else's desk instead of sending a e-mail, drinking one extra glass of water.

  1. SITTING LESS

Most of our life, we are sitting in front of our desks in school or at home watching TV or studying. New research is showing the risk to our health from our sitting behavior. So break your sitting time by standing for five minutes and reap the health benefits.

  1. EATING HEALTHY

When it comes to heathy eating there is a lot of theories, diet books and online information about what to eat. Although the research is still ongoing and developing , what the experts all agree on is that we have too much sugar in our food, our diets are to big in size and we don't eat a variety of natural foods.

  1. SWEET ENOUGH

It's hard to give up sugary foods because sugar is in everything from breakfast cereal to sugary drinks these days. Often sugar is hidden in canned or pre-packaged foods or even foods we think are healthy such as fruit juice. The average person takes about 22 teaspoons of sugar per day. The American Heart Association the daily target shouldn't be more than six teaspoons of sugar for women and nine for men (and that is for food and drinks combined).

  1. PORTION DISTORTION

Our food and drink sizes have dramatically increased in the last 30 years. In the 1950's a pack of crisps was 28 g. Today, it's 154 g! And that's just the regular size, the supersize is 196g!

Portion size doesn't only include the take-away portions, but packaging of goods in the supermarket, plates in restaurants and even fridge sizes! Simple ways to cut portion sizes: Eat your main meals off a smaller plate-the plate is still full so you'll be satisfied, but you'll be actually eating less; don't have the dishes at the table because it's much easier to have another meal when it's in front of you; eat small regular meals so that you are never starving, because it's much harder to not overeat when you're at that point of hunger.

V četrtek, 17. januarja 2019, ob 16.00 bo v kulturnem domu na Sveti Ani potekalo predavanje:

VZGOJA ZA NENASILJE - ČUJEČNOST, ki ga bo izvedla dr. Eva Škobalj, profesorica Prve gimnazije.

Sodobni način življenja nas odvrača od polnega zavedanja vsakega trenutka, zaradi tega pa velikokrat nismo v stiku s svojimi mislimi, čustvi in občutki. Delujemo kot roboti. S pomočjo čuječnosti lahko dokazano učinkovito premagujemo vsakodnevni stres in se tako lažje soočamo z izzivi vsakdana. Starši, ki razumejo koncepte in ideje, ki jih zagovarja čuječnost, ter to tudi aplicirajo na svoj odnos do otroka, lahko zaznajo določene pozitivne vzorce.

Predavanje je organizirano v okviru mednarodnega projekta Stop nasilju, ki bo potekal na šoli tri leta.

Po predavanju bodo v šoli govorilne ure.

BRITISH ENGLISH

Regular British

British English is used and originated from the United Kingdom and also sometimes used in Anglophone countries such as Ireland, South Africa, Australia, Canada and New Zeleand, especially by British expats (people who immigrated from the UK to these countries or got British nationality through colonization). It's also rarely used in the United States.

British slang

The language of slang is changing all the time; new words become added and some are so used that they almost become mainstream.

Some slang words are used throughout Britian, others are used in smaller regions. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all have their own sleng words, as does London. London slang has many varieties, the most known is rhyming slang.

AMERICAN ENGLISH

The use of English in the USA is a result of British colonization of the Americas. The first English settlers arrived in America during the 17th century.

American English variates from a linguistic continuum of dialects more similar to each other than to English dialects of other countries. Any North American English accent is populary called Standard or General American. Otherwise, with the major exception of Southern American English, regional accents throughout the country are not yielding to this standard, and linguistic evidence does not support the notion of there being one single mainstream American accent.

AUSTRALIAN ENGLISH

Australian English is the set of varieties of the English language native to Australia. Although English has no official status in Australia, it is widely used as a first language of the majority of the population.

Australian English began to diverge from British English after the First Settlers, who set up the Colony of New South Wales, arrived in 1788. By 1820, their language was recognised different from British English. Austrlaian English arose from the intermingling of the early settlers, who were from a great variety of mutually intelligible dialectal regions of the British Isles, and quickly developed into a distinct variety of English which differs considerably from other varieties of English in vocabulary, accent, pronunciation, register, grammar and spelling.

Ker je mesec december zelo natrpan, sta se mentorici mladih gasilcev (Renata Lasecky in Mojca Kotnik - Potočnik) odločili, da bosta povabili mlade gasilce v soboto, 5.1.2019, v občinsko kuhinjo, kjer so pekli piškote. Na pomoč pri peki je priskočila še Helena Brancelj. Če so piškoti dobri, so preizkusili še predsednik Gregor, poveljnik Gregor in mentor Saša. Pohvalili so pridne mentorice in se odločili, da bodo kekse, ki so jih lepo aranžirali, razdelili v nedeljo občanom, nekaj paketkov pa so prinesli tudi v šolo.

KDO: učenci OŠ Sveta Ana, OŠ Sveta Trojica, OŠ Jožeta Hudalesa, OŠ Cerkvenjak

                                     (6 učencev iz vsake šole)

IZVAJALCI: učitelji šolski mediatorji iz omenjenih šol, učenci vrstniški mediatorji

                  

DEJAVNOSTI: aktivne delavnice, animacije, joga, …

CILJI:

  • priprava učencev na proces vrstniške mediacije – vrstniško reševanje sporov
  • priprava učencev na praktično izvedbo vrstniških mediacij
  • spoznavanje sebe, svojih čustev in reakcij (besednih, nebesednih)
  • posredovanje znanja in izkušenj vrstniških mediatork
  • druženje z vrstniki,  sodelujočih šol

Vrstniška mediacija je proces, v katerem sta udeležena vsaj dva učenca, med katerima je prišlo do nesoglasja, konflikta ali spora. Pri tem jima pomaga tretji, nevtralni vrstnik (mediator).Ta z različnimi tehnikami, veščinami in znanji učencema v konfliktu pomaga pri razlagi različnih pogledov, izražanju želja in potreb ter ju pripelje do cilja, da poiščeta najboljšo rešitev med možnimi.

Predstavitev vrstniške mediacije in utrinki iz preteklih usposabljanj:

Na usposabljanje ste vabljeni učenci od 5. do 7. razreda, ki vas zanima učinkovit način reševanja sporov in bi se želeli preizkusiti v tej vlogi.

V primeru preveč prijav bomo izbrali učence na podlagi naslednjih kriterijev:

-      št. prijavljenih učencev v oddelku

-      interes (argumenti na prijavi)

-      posvetovanje z razredniki

-      obremenjenost učencev

-      priljubljenost, komunikativnost in osebne značilnosti

Rok prijave je:

Četrtek, 17. januar 2019, do 12. ure. Prijavo oddate v kabinetu pedagoginje ali vrstniškim mediatorjem na šoli.

A New year's resolution is a wish that you make at the beginning of a new year that you try to make true during the new year.
These are some of the most common New year's resolutions that 1159 people from the USA made from 8th to 11th December last year, sorted by popularity:
Eat healthier (37%)
Get more exercise (37%)
Save (more) money (37%)
Focus on self-care (get more sleep) (24%)
Read more (18%)
Make new friends (15%)
Learn a new skill (15%)
Get a (new) job (14%)

What really suprised me is that almost one third of people (32%) didn't plan on making any new years resolutions.


Here are some tips for New year's resolutions:
1. Mentally prepare for change
Changing habits is no easy task, so before going straight into your New Year’s resolution, it is important to take a step back and get ready for the change.
2. Set a goal that motivates you
You would be suprised how often people set goals that are not for them. These goals could be dictated or coerced by a manager, spouse or parental/peer pressure.
While it's nice to have some support, if you don't share the same passion, the resolution has a small chance of succeeding and could even be dead on arrival.
To do this, you have to make sure the goal is important to you and only you and that there is benefit for you achieving the goal.
3. Limit resolutions to a manageable amount
A common mistake is having too many resolutions and spreading yourself too thin. We all want to learn 25 different languages, 15 new job skills and eliminate 5 bad habits, but we are not superheroes. We only have a limited amount of attention span that we can dedicate to self-improvement.

V 4. b razredu smo si v mesecu decembru pričarali praznike. Vsak teden smo ob svečah brali pravljice, ki so jih izbrali učenci. Postavili smo si malo smrečico, katero smo okrasili z lastnimi okraski, na katerih je bilo napisano, kaj si želimo v novem letu.

Veliko smo ustvarjali na temo prihajajočih praznikov. Veliko smo risali, peli in tudi plesali. Zadnji šolski dan smo si naredili bele medvedke, ki nas bodo spominjali na naše dobre lastnosti. Na koncu smo napisali še voščila in si zaželeli lepe praznike.
